Puravida

Description

It all started in 1996 on a trip to Costa Rica, where we came across this saying. A greeting, farewell or even used to say welcome or thank you Puravida literally means ?Pure life?, although its meaning is closer to plenty of life, and THAT is true living. The brand was set up in Bali, in 1998, by two Italian sisters that decided that the island life style suited them much more than any other. Surrounded by a huge variety of arts, incredible mix of cultures, philosophies and the harmony of this peaceful island of the gods they were effortlessly inspired to create their first clothes and accessories collection. With flag shops in the most animated areas and selling points in all major shopping departments of the island Puravida has now grown visibly since its early days. The brand has even reached out to Europe, Australia, Japan, Hawaii and Thailand through customers buying from its wholesale distribution in Bali. Puravida produces, dyes and prints all its clothes and fabrics in Indonesia and embellishes them with a wide selection of sequins, beads and beautiful embroidery. The main fabrics used for our collections are light fabrics such as cotton voile, or thin jerseys, and other kinds of cotton. We love vibrant colors, patterns and graphics. Our designs are all original creations, each made with love and care. We?ve recently introduced into our collections materials whose production methods have a lower impact on our planet, like modal or tencel, and alternative ?greener? dying methods. We promote fair labor practices and safe working conditions throughout our supply chain, ensuring that our products are produced under safe, fair, legal and humane working conditions. The company also sustains many eco-projects in Bali and always improves its standards trying to find the best ways to respect the environment. We donate 1% of our company profit to local environmental organizations. We support Eco Bali ?Adopt a school program?, which has the goal to provide environmental educational activities focusing on correct waste management in selected Balinese public schools. We promote the use of fabric shopping bags instead of the plastic ones and police our waste, by recycling materials used in our production process. We are joining a project called ?Zero Impact? which aims to calculate, reduce and offset CO2 emissions generated by our company, contributing to the creation and protection of forest growth in Bali. We design our line for women who like feeling nat
