This is a trek you shall remember for years to come - owed to the natural beauty and active volcano you shall be experiencing. Perhaps this is also the reason why Mt Batur trek is a popular choice among several tourists. Don't let the word "trek" deter you from embarking on this amazing tour, because even inexperienced individuals have conquered this mountain. And if that didn't convince you, you'll be glad to know that your tour guide shall assess the group's fitness level and determine everyone's safety and level of fitness first, before embarking on the trek. Of course, extra stops and all necessary assistance shall be provided should anyone need help.So put on those trekking shoes and gear up for a splendid day ahead. Your day starts with a healthy breakfast comprising of fruits, eggs, bread, jam, tea/coffee at 6am. The price of breakfast is included in your tour package, so you won't be paying exorbitant prices at the top of the mountain. You will begin your 11km climb at 7am, then stop for a short coffee break at 8.30am at sunrise point. And if you start to tire out by this point, then fret not, for you shall begin your descend from this trek at 9.30am.The sunrise atop Mt Batur is said to be breath-taking and has been marvelled by both locals and tourists from near and far. Along the way, you will also come across large troops of monkeys that live inside the largest crater. You'll also be able to explore fumaroles and caves!
