Chef Wiwid started her career in Borneo Island, Balikpapan, with an Indonesian restaurant, proposing, after a while and from time to time, some French inspired daily special to her loyal clientele. And there, the magic started. Un coup de Coeur! A revelation! Her interest for French cuisine got deeper and deeper while she gets better and better. Eager to learn new cooking methods, she bought dozens of books, from French grandma?s cooking to star Michelin?s chefs, in order to accumulate this unique knowledge of ?je ne sais quoi? that makes a great Chef.
Opening a French restaurant to share her passion, has always been Chef Wiwid ambition. The fine gourmet and connoisseurs can appreciate, without further ado,
a genuine French cuisine, in the utmost respect of traditions.
To pay tribute to the culinary books that she used to read, Wiwid named her restaurant with a combination of French ?LES? (the) and Bahasa Indonesian ?BUKU? (book).
